ALCEST Announce Second Melbourne Show!

French black metal/shoegaze duo Alcest will be taking off on their first Australian tour this October, and with the recent news of a sold out show in Melbourne on October 22nd, the band has announced a second Melbourne show, scheduled for Thursday, October the 27th at The Curtin Bandroom.

Joining Alcest and their genre-melting sounds will be Melbourne based quintet, Heirs, an outfit that has undoubtedly made a mark on the music scene with the release of their sophomore record ‘Fowl’, the follow-up to their debut masterpiece, 2009’s ‘Alchera’.

Currently in the process of recording their third studio offering, an album in the form of a double A-Side 7”/CD, Heirs has scheduled for the forthcoming album to be released this September, in time for the celebratory national tour with Alcest.

Heirs’ new material is said to see the outfit strengthening their melodic resolve, and while equally intense, inhabits a less oppressive atmosphere, with the band citing Cocteau Twins and Sisters of Mercy as being influential to their process. Their live show will also feature visuals and installations by Heirs' guitarist and visual artist, Brent Stegeman.
