Darker Half 'Desensitized' Sydney Album Launch

Following their recent deal with Rockstar Records and two months of live-shows in support of their sophomore album, Desensitized, Sydney-based thrash metallers Darker Half have unveiled details of its official Sydney album launch!

Scheduled to be held on Friday, September 16th at The Wall [Bald Faced Stag], Darker Half will be sharing the stage with Canberra’s death metal troupe Aeon of Horus, whose latest release, the Exile EP, will be launching on the same night as part of their recent string of live shows in support of the new effort.

Additionally, Newcastle’s The Seer, melodic death metallers Starforge and atmospheric metal outfit Katabasis will be joining the two bands on the night.

Recorded at Defwolf Studios, Sydney, Desensitized marks the first recording to feature the current Darker Half line-up with guitarist Brad Dickson and drummer Dom Simpson, and comes as the follow-up to the quartet’s 2009 debut studio album Duality.

Forming in 2003 with a sound that is rooted in traditional metal, Darker Half brought out their first demo, the four track 'Rush', in the same year, before the band’s debut EP release, entitled 'Enough is Enough' was let loose in 2006.

Desensitized is out now through Rockstar Records and MGM Distribution.
