CHONKFEST Is Coming!

This September will see Adelaide play host to a massive 8 hours of metal from around Australia - say hello to the inaugural CHONKFEST, scheduled for September 3rd at Fowlers Live!

Presented by Thefeej.com and organised by the co-founder of the renowned Against The Grain Festival, Lee Gardiner, Chonkfest has been created as a showcase for some of the best and most impressive up and coming metal bands from around the country, as explained by Lee.

Orange-based metallers Deprivation have been dubbed as the headliners of the event, who are playing the festival as part of their national tour in support of the recent release of their debut, full-length album, Amalgam. 

Joining Deprivation will be local thrash metal troupe A Murder of Crows, for whom 2011 has seen the support slots of Darkest Hour, Alestorm and Carnifex. 

Rounding off the bill will be Adelaide’s own Arcadia, with death-groove metal outfit In Death, Sydney’s Ilcontent, as well as Neck Deep, Exerthur, Alkira and Beyond The Oblivion.  

The all ages festival, Chonkfest, kicks-off at 3pm at Fowlers Live, Adelaide, with tickets at just $15 available at the door.
