RISING Confirms Details of Debut Album

Copenhagen-based sludge trio, RISING, has confirmed the details of their forthcoming debut album, entitled To Solemn Ash, set to be released through German label, Exile On Mainstream Records this Spring.
Scheduled for its release from October 24th, To Solemn Ash was produced by Jakob Reichert Nielsen, with mastering duties handled by Alan Douches [Converge, Mastodon, High on Fire], and features artwork of renowned Danish artist and music video director Jakob Printzlau aka Plastic Kid [Volbeat, lBMTH, Lack, Kashmir].
From Exile On Mainstream Records:
"A seemingly out-of-place signing for the generally avant/stoner rock-based German imprint, RISING's honed, organic metal style caught the ear of Exile On Mainstream heads when the metal trio opened for label artist Celan in Copenhagen in 2009. Based on their devastating performance, RISING were [sic] subsequently invited to take part in the label's massive annual South Of Mainstream Festival in 2010. That year they also played two full European tours, the second one with now-label mates, Beehoover. Following further talks, RISING have been confirmed as the "first official metal band" to be signed to the labels, who are now preparing to release the band's massive To Solemn Ash debut."

Recorded live in the studio with producers Jacob Reichert Nielsen and Per Chnöeldh, with mastering by Alan Douches [Mastodon, Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan], Rising released its four-track, debut EP in June 2009, following their formation in 2008.
