Members of Slipknot Discuss New Album and Forthcoming Live Dates
During the third annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards, Slipknot members, Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan and Joey Jordison, were stopped on the black carpet to comment on the possibility of a new Slipknot record, and their forthcoming live shows.
“Do I want another Slipknot record?” asked Shawn Crahan, “absolutely. I’m not a fortune teller so, I can’t promise…” he drifted off before coming back in with a gloomy, “you and I can get killed on the way somewhere tonight,” as the reasoning of not being able to say 'yes' with assurance.
On the other hand, Joey Jordison commented that as far as he is concerned, there will be a new album, also mentioning that the forthcoming live dates with the band will be the biggest and most emotional shows that Slipknot has ever had. The latter comment was reciprocated by Crahan, who stated, “I’ll be in tears before I even hit the first snare,” after discussing the show with an allegorical twist.
