IN FLAMES Releases Second Studio Episode

Swedish melodic death metal outfit, In Flames, has released the second episode of a six part series, chronicling their time in the studio whilst recording their forthcoming release, Sounds Of A Playground Fading.

Filmed, edited and directed by Anders Björler, the episodes followed In Flames in the studio while they recorded their brand new record, with bass guitarist Peter Iwers commenting that “this is probably the longest recording session we’ve ever done.

The approaching album is the tenth studio release from the Gothenburg-based quintet, and will be available from the 15th of June through Century Media Records.

Sounds Of A Playground Fading was recorded at the band's IF Studios in Gothenburg with Roberto Laghi and is the follow-up to their 2008 release, A Sense Of Purpose. The new album is also the first release recorded by the band without founding guitarist, Jesper Strömblad, who parted ways with In Flames in February of 2010.
