MYSPACE announces secret BMTH show

MySpace today announced Secret Shows will be straying from the beaten track and giving regional music fans access to hardcore UK band, Bring Me The Horizon, for an exclusive MySpace Secret Show on Wednesday September 8th.

MySpace is offering users the chance to vote for one of two regional cities Bring Me The Horizon should visit: Ballarat or Geelong. To vote, and for a chance to win a meet-and-greet with the band, fans should visit www.myspace.com/secretshowsau from today. From August 31st, MySpace users should re-visit the Secret Shows profile to register for a chance to attend the Secret Show itself.

“MySpace has been really important to Bring Me The Horizon since we started. In the beginning it was the first place we could communicate with our fans aside from shows and where many people from all over the world first heard our music. We're stoked to be playing the MySpace show in Australia - it's going to be a big one. Bring a spare change of clothes, because it's going to get messy,” says lead singer Oli Sykes.

“As a music destination online, MySpace brings great music content to music fans across the country and the world, no matter where they live. Giving fans the chance to vote for which regional city the next Secret Show should take place in allows us to continue this trend off line. Bring Me The Horizon have such a frenetic and intoxicating energy. We’re pumped to bring that dynamic to an out-of-the-ordinary setting.” says Darain Faraz, MySpace Australia.

MySpace Secret Shows are FREE exclusive events held in unexpected settings throughout Australia and the world featuring some of the biggest international and Australian artists. Globally, the MySpace Secret Shows program has featured artists such as Duffy, Digitalism, Pink, Placebo, The Cure and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Bring Me The Horizon formed in Sheffield, England in 2004. In 2006, they won Kerrang Award for Best British Newcomers. The band’s massively anticipated third album, There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret, will be released in Australia on 8th October, 2010.
