IRON MAIDEN Headlining 2011 SOUNDWAVE + Arena Sideshows Announced!

With the first line-up announcement leaked, the rumors have indeed been confirmed by Iron Maiden who has officially announced that they will be headlining the 2011 Soundwave Festival!

Soundwave dates are as follows;

• 26 Feb 2011 - Brisbane, Showgrounds
• 27 Feb 2011 - Sydney, Eastern Creek Raceway
• 4 Mar 2011 - Melbourne, Showgrounds
• 5 Mar 2011 - Adelaide, Bonython Park
• 7 Mar 2011 - Perth, Steel Blue Oval

Iron Maiden will also play two arena shows prior to the festivals with first ticket access for Fan Club members:

• 23 Feb 2011 - Melbourne, Hisense Arena
• 24 Feb 2011 - Sydney, Entertainment Centre

The exclusive pre-sale will take place on Monday 9th August at noon and run through to 5pm Tuesday 10th (local time). The pre-sale is open to all Fan Club members - watch the official Iron Maiden website for updates later today! Tickets for these two shows go on sale to the general public on August 12th.

The Soundwave Festival facebook page will officially announce the first round of acts in a couple of hours, and perhaps due to the leak of the 54 band first announcement and [according to RaveReview] the festival organisers promising a final lineup of close to 70 bands, more names will be dropped.
