Requiem of the Damned Announce New Lead Guitarist

There hasn't been much heard from Newcastle based gothic/metal outfit REQUIEM OF THE DAMNED camp since their last show in support of Sentenced cover band FROZEN (back in early February) but fans can rest assured that all is well behind the scenes.

ROTD, highly influenced by European black/death/Goth metal specifically the likes of Katatonia and Sentenced, finally made it official earlier today upon announcing founding guitarist Stuart James' departure from the band.

Releasing the following statement;

Requiem of the Damned have recently parted ways with their long time friend and lead guitarist Stuart James due to a difference in interests and his own personal reasons; both of which no longer coincided with that of the band; having since been replaced by Luke Pendlebury on lead guitar . Newcastle/Sydney metal heads will recognize him from his other projects - death/black metal quartet Grim Demise and Comedic Death punk band FUsaurous. Pendlebury is currently hard at work with the band, nailing down some new material as well as adding his own touch to the old material for our upcoming live performances and debut full length release that we plan to have completed by next year.
