AEON OF HORUS Seeking New Guitarist

Aeon of Horus is one of Australia’s most exciting up and coming metal bands and here’s your chance to join their ranks.

The band is seeking a lead guitarist who is looking for the opportunity to join a serious band. The ideal candidate will be proficient on guitar, willing to contribute resources toward band expenses, able to tour nationally, and committed to the long term success of the band.

The band is currently located in Canberra but is willing to relocate for the right person.

ABOUT AEON OF HORUS:

Aeon of Horus is a progressive death metal band that was established in Canberra in late 2006 by musicians driven to achieve. By early 2007 the band released their self titled EP to an enthusiastic response. They built a fan base by playing numerous shows throughout NSW and the ACT before stopping to write and record what would become their debut full length album, The Embodiment of Darkness and Light. 

The band was intent on releasing a complete package of the highest quality, and sought out a production team that included Scott Carter of Dark Corpse Studios and Jochem Jacobs (Textures) from Split Second Sound. The album was well received by critics and fans alike.

Upon the album’s release in late 2008, Welkin Entertainment became the booking agent for Aeon of Horus and began setting up tour dates nationwide in support of the album. The band played numerous shows throughout the first half of 2009, including an international support slot on the 2009 Satyricon tour.

Aeon of Horus was a finalist in the 2009 Australian Metal Awards in the categories of “Best Regional Band” and “Best Album Cover”.  Aeon of Horus is known for their musicianship and ability to deliver in both studio and live performances. They are currently writing new material and look forward to returning to the stage in 2010.
