CENTRED SELF updates us on their search

Sydney metal prog band CENTRED SELF has been searching actively for a frontman since the departure of ex-vocalist Chris back in December 2009. They have recently posted on their Myspace blog an update as to how things are progressing, read below.

"It's been a while since we posted, so thought we'd give you an update as to where we're at.

We've got some strong applicants coming through the studio door in our search for a singer; each bringing their individual spin on the CS sound. Been pretty exciting to hear our tunes re-interpreted by fresh ears! The search continues, with our ads running in Drum Media and other online forums for at least the next month.

Anyone wanting to jump in the studio is best to shoot an E-mail through to centredself@hotmail.com - let us know about you, your influences and experience. We're looking for someone diverse, committed and who will lift our music and live shows beyond the high quality that our audience has come to expect and enjoy.

Writing is continuing - we're pretty stoked with where we're heading and to be honest, a little surprised as to what's flowing through our instruments! A little prog (actually... a lot of prog!), heavier riffs and some pretty expansive sounds that should be awesome to play live.

Thanks to everyone for their patience and we're looking forward to hitting the stage again soon (hopefully with some new awesome tunes!)."
