X3N Update On 'Binary Sermons'

With many asking X3N about the prolonged release of their debut album "BINARY SERMONS: Manifestations of A Clockwork God", they decided to set things straight and update us all on the situation.

Here is what they said;

"Okay, so over the ending phase of 2009, we experienced a huge business set back which essentially prolonged the completion and slowed the release of our debut record 'BINARY SERMONS: Manifestations of A Clockwork God', resulting in an onslaught of curious and perturbed emailers demanding to know why the fuck it's been taking so long and why we havent met the statements of various things we mentioned in the past which are long due by now.
We are referring to the absence of the previously mentioned Myspace graphics and album art we were supposed to have posted months ago but never did. Here is a following explanation of what happened and how it affected the late 2009 release of our debut record.

"Perhaps the most damaging set back we encountered in the past year was the total fallout of our graphic design arrangements with David Lubofsky from Fourward Media Group:

"Basically, we paid a sum of over $500 (which was only a 50% deposit) for a proposed full Myspace layout and Album Sleeve which was supposed to be completed within a period of three weeks. Three weeks turned into three times three weeks, then into three months, then into half a year and now we are still 'waiting' apparently.

"All throughout this stressful and frustrating time period, we have seen nothing come of our $500, or have not been compensated as promised on countless occasions. Dave from Fourward Media Group has stated that he will be reimbursing us with the full amount we paid him, and has promised us this before many times, although we have not yet heard a word from him or seen any repayment made on this matter.

"We were supposed to have received the money by the 8th of December 2009, but no word regarding this matter was even so much sent to us from David let alone a total sum of $500 AUD.

"So in essence, we lost $500 which should have set us up with all the comprehensive graphics and designs needed to release an album. This is money that could have alternately been fourwarded (excuse the pun) to the use of studio tracking time, equipment purchasing or other expenses related to the release of our album. Not only did this terrible failure of what should have been a commonplace, honest buisness agreement set us back monetarily, but it generated internal band tensions which had very negative repercussions on the progress of the album, slowing it's release.

"At this point in time, no arrangements have been made with any other graphic designers to complete the unfinished X3N album art concepts and layout ideas, and without any viable graphics, there can obviously be no release of the album. We feel the need to explain this to people so we dont appear to be shit talkers and hype spreaders.

"It's true; Dave from Fourward Media Group has done graphic work for bands such as Despised Icon, The Number Twelve Looks Like You and The Human Abstract, none of that was fabricated to make us seem better connected than we are or to make us seem 'cool' in any way, all these factors appealed to us when selecting Dave to work upon our art for us.

"We ended up $500 short and with nothing to show for it, and it has set us back. That hopefully explains to all who asked why it is that we never posted all the graphic work 'being made' as previously stated in older blogs.

"We do not in any way mean to defame David's reputation; we are simply stating the true process of events associated with the loss of our paid $500 and the incompletion of our deserved graphics.

"So read this and do not worry about sending emails asking about it. You will have your eye-candy soon enough!" - X3N.
