CENTRED SELF Frontman Leaves Band
Sydney's metal quartet Centred Self has announced the departure of front-man Chris, who has been with the band for over the past twelve months.
The band commented;
"We regret to announce that Chris is no longer with Centred Self. The band cannot deny the impact and influence Chris he has had on us, both as musicians and people over the past 12 months, but as with most creative endeavours sometimes things don’t work the way originally intended.
"It was not a move that was easily arrived at, and we hope that everyone involved receives nothing but respect. Allan, Dan and Symon thank Chris for everything he’s brought to Centred Self and wish him all the best for the future."
The band is now looking for a replacement to fill the void, and have asked that any applicants contact Centred Self through: centredself@hotmail.com.
The band commented;
"With a noticeable hole in our lineup Centred Self is seeking a dedicated individual to take up frontman duties. Vocally, we’re looking at someone who is diverse, strong and brings a presence to the microphone. Personally we need someone who can commit to a solid rehearsal and gigging schedule, with album recording planned for the end of 2010/beginning of 2011.
"Our gig on 22 January at Club Blink is still going ahead at this stage – we have spoken to a close friend to take up the mic for this show, but have not guaranteed the permanent position to anyone yet."
