The Devil Wears Prada pull out of Soundwave 2010

In news posted on Twitter this morning, US metalcore outfit The Devil Wears Prada have announced they have pulled out of next years Soundwave festival. TDWP have become one of the world's most loved metal bands and received critical acclaim for their latest album, 2009's "With Roots Above And Branches Below".

Spokespeople from Soundwave festival stated that the band have accepted an offer to support metalcore giants Killswitch Engage on their tour across the US.

There has been no statement as yet by the band but you can stay up to date by logging on to www.myspace.com/tdwp or following them on Twitter.

While this news is devastating for Australian fans, the pain has been somewhat eased by the announcement that UK favorites Architects will be filling the slot for TDWP on the nationwide tour throughout February.

Architects recently supported Parkway Drive and August Burns Red on their sellout tour in August.

Soundwave 2010 features a fantastic lineup including Faith No More, Anthrax, A Day To Remember, Whitechapel and Meshuggah and starts in Brisbane on February 20th and ending in Perth on March 1st.
