HYPNOTIC DIRGE RECORDS Turns One!

Eight days ago - October 20th - Hypnotic Dirge Records turned one-years-old!

Hypnotic Dirge Records is based in Canada and ran by Nick Skog - specializing in releasing Depressive Black Metal, Dark Ambient, Funeral Doom, Down-tempo and Experimental music, this label has received huge support with a very impressive roster including; Exiled From Light, Astral Luminous, Neige et Noirceur, Winds of Sorrow and Immundus to name a few.

To celebrate the one-year aniversery of Hypnotic Dirge Records, and to give thanks for all those who have supported Nick Skog and his label over the past twelve months, there is a free compilation album coming next month titled "Wherein Beauty Lies in Depression" available for free download from the 1st of November!

Message from Nick Skog;

"This compilation album has been created for the purpose of celebrating the one-year aniversery of 'Hypnotic Dirge Records.' It serves as the first complete audio representation of the lable as a whole featuring a track from each of the Hypnotic Dirge Artists. Over the past year, Hypnotic Dirge Records has grown a great deal, gained exposure and respect from fans of the music, artists, record lables, and publishers/promoters alike, and we continue to aim to spread the name of Hypnotic Dirge and its artists around the world. Since its inception in October 2008, HDR has also made a few changes and expanded its artist roster to form the most solid and varied lineup possible.

All of the Hypnotic Dirge Artists have something different to offer musically and artistically whilst all keeping within the standards of the HDR vision. It is my utmost pleasure to be able to offer this free compilation album both as a special 'thank you' to supporters of Hypnotic Dirge, to offer previews of upcoming releases as well as previously released tracks, and to be able to introduce the sound and vision of Hypnotic Dirge and its artists to new listeners around the world!
