WACKEN 2009 MEDIA ACCREDITATION

 

Voltage Media (http://www.voltagemedia.com.au) today announced that a media partnership will be formed with WACKEN & official accreditation has been granted for the WOA 2009 event.

As part of our granted accreditation Matt 'MetalMatt' Sirman of Voltage Media will be attending this years WOA 2009 event in Germany. Matt has been given a 3-day backstage pass were he will have the chance to network and connect with many other publications, bands and organizations around the world in the hope to not only help push Voltage Media but to also represent the Australian community. Having access to the press area he will get to see exclusive press events, conferences and conduct interviews with major names.

As always Matt will be at WACKEN to gather as much information as he can live from the event and will keep us updated through the website of his experience and what else WACKEN has to offer. Thank you to WACKEN for this great opportunity.

ABOUT WACKEN

Wacken Open Air (W:O:A) takes place annually in the small town of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany. With 70,000 festival visitors, it attracts all kinds of metal music fans, such as fans of black metal, death metal, power metal, thrash metal, gothic metal and also folk metal, from around the world.

The festival was first held in 1990 as a small event for local German bands. By 1998 the event had become the major festival on the European metal calendar and one of the most important in the world and included over 70 bands from all over Europe, North America and Australia. W:O:A is held at the beginning of August and lasts three days.

Voltage Media is aiming to become a independent media publication in the Australian music industry. As part of many free services we are going to offer to the public one of our major features is building an online music directory that will contain information about bands, night clubs, venues, djs, promoters and more.

This website and music directory was specifically designed for the Australian alternative music industry as many followers felt that the types of genre which is currently available is not officially recognized by the Australian Music industry.
